If I reinstall Bitcoin Knots, will it reattach to the existing data directory, or will it start a fresh initial block download and overwrite what’s there?
I updated StartOS yesterday. After the update, six services failed to migrate.
- Bitcoin Knots no longer appears in the marketplace. Is that related to this migration failure, or a separate packaging change? I didn’t find an announcement.
- If Knots isn’t coming back — can Bitcoin Core be installed against an existing Knots data directory? They share a data format, so I’m hoping this is possible, but I don’t know how StartOS handles it.
- Is there a recovery path for the other five services, or is reinstalling each the expected route?
