I don’t think a linux kernel is going to complain about the processor like Windows artificially would.
Unknown Error is Unknown to me though. Is this an error after StartOS boots, before, what?
After installation from the USB-Stick I get the message on my Remote-PC: “Remove the USB-Stick and Reboot” with a Reboot-Button on my Remote-PC.
After doing this, no reboot happens, I get the unknown-error message on remote and thats it. I tried it several times.
“unknown error message on remote”.
What does “on remote” mean? You mean from a remote device in a web browser? I’m still know clearer where this error is from… your firmware, your instance of StartOS, your client device, your browser, etc etc
Sorry for my bad english. Yes, from a remote device in a web browser. The PC, where I type start.local in the webbrowser, select the ssd for installation and get the message “Remove the USB-Stick and Reboot”. After doing that, it shows: “Unknown Error”, every time and nothing else happens.
Sorry I still have questions.
Your browser says “unknown error”. Is this a browser error, or a StartOS error wrapped with a StartOS user interface?
If it is a browser error, it’s difficult for me to guess why your browser isn’t working.
Not the browser says “unknown error”, the Start9 interface does.
I tried again and I was able to control the installation directly on the notebook (where I’m trying to install to). That wasn’t possible before. (Maybe because this time the power supply was connected?)
Anyway, after trying to reboot, it is the same error.
I booted into an Ubuntu live USB and used that Linux Terminal to edit. Follow those instructions carefully.
