Not entirely clear I’m afraid. It appears that your question is “How do I use Libreelec?” and I’m afraid I don’t have a clear answer since I don’t use it.
As far as Jellyfin and StartOS go (which I can answer questions about), each service on StartOS has an interface. In the StartOS UI, you’d click on Services, then the service in question, then Interfaces. Some examples here: Start9 | Jellyfin Clients
The question is, does your client support mDNS / .local addresses? Many don’t bother doing so. This makes connectivity difficult/impossible without technical skills. And it’s why we’re forced to do away with reliance on .local addresses in the upcoming version of StartOS (v0.4.0) where you’ll be able to connect just fine on your TV if this isn’t working for you right now.
Thanks for the reply. It appears that there are not much of a help or guide on how to setup Libreelec to access the media files on Jellyfin in Start9OS.
For now I have two hardware setup. A mini pc which host Start9OS. This is where I have Jellyfin installed with all my media files located.
The second hardware is a raspberry pi 4 in which Libreelec is installed.
I want to access the media files from Libreelec. That’s what I am basically trying to achieve.
I guess I have to wait for the next version of Start9OS.
As with any other Jellyfin client, you’d paste in the interface address then log in. If there’s an error, it’s either the wrong interface address or it doesn’t support mDNS.
