Behavior: when I access my Start9 on a Raspberry Pi 4, I lately only get a white screen and I am unable to login and see the UI of my instance. This is true in all tested browsers: Tor Browser, Firefox, Mullvad and BRave. Bitcoin Core/Electrs which I have installed on my instance are still reachable and working.
When accessing the Diagnostics UI I see the following message:
Network Error
Failed to set DNS configuration: Failed to activate service ‘org.freedesktop.resolve1’: timed out (service_start_timeout=25000ms)
Tried RESTART SERVER and SYSTEM REBUILD, but without any result unfortunately.
/ 3. Version: Raspberry Pi 4 installation, most probably the latest.
N/A, since it’s no network issue. Perfectly able to access the GUI, but the GUI is simply a white page, thus giving no possibility to login.
When there is an serious error, you unique .local goes away and your server can be found in diagnostics mode at start.local
You error seems to be related to your network configuration. There’s nothing wrong with the server itself from what I can tell, it just can’t contact a DNS server. Perhaps you’ve made changes to your networking or changed something on your router.
Thanks, @StuPleb , but I didn’t change anything in my network. All other connected devices are working perfectly, only my Start9 server doesn’t.
Since I’ve done SYSTEM REBUILD I am now also unable to connect with my electrs instance, since I guess the .onion address has changed. Furthermore, I am unable to get into the server via SSH, since I didn’t set it up.
System Rebuild is for when there are problems with your server, not with your networking setup. But if you suspect something has gone wrong with your Pi4 that is causing it to give incorrect errors and have issues, you can always try reflashing as per this guide… Start9 | StartOS (Raspberry Pi)
