Start9 shutdown unexpectedly

Hi guys,

I’ve recently bought a Start9 (Server one).
It’s been working for a week (only Bitcoin core and Electrs services running as of now) and a couple of days ago it just shutdown.
I noticed it because I couldn’t connect anymore and saw no light on the device.
I simply pressed the power button and the server is up&running again.
I checked the system logs but they only start from when I booted the Start9 again, so no info about what caused the shutdown.
Bitcoin core logs are the only logs which go back to before the shutdown and from them I can see that a normal shutdown had been triggered (so no power outage).

I know this is probably not enough details to understand what happened so my question is:
Is there a way for me to retrieve system logs from before the last boot?
I still did not configure SSH to my start9 but I can do that.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Joseph,

You should have a redemption code that provides you with access to start9.me - either there, or by emailing support@start9.com you can provide us with your order number and eventually your logs.

One of the reasons for asking for the order number is to check when this was ordered, as during one specific period of time we had a few issues with power supplies, and during another period of time we had some issues with the performance boost enabled in the BIOS. I’d like us to look into both of these as well as to look at the logs.

Yes, SSH would be useful for running all sorts of command line commands if the above two situations are eliminated as causes. But services logs should be complete and not begin with server startups, not the case for OS and kernel logs.
