Startos on Raspberry

Hi, I read that you recommend not using an SSD with the Raspberry Pi to install Startos. Could there be any problem installing it on a USB? I have an 8GB Raspberry Pi and I also see that you recommend the Raspberry as a good option to install a server for services like Bitwarden or NextCloud.
I also wanted to ask what I should do to copy files from an external drive to the Start9 storage. I have inserted one and I can’t see it in File Explorer.

The recommended and supported way to install StartOS on a Pi is here:

A Raspberry Pi makes a great little StartOS server! It just won’t do well with trying to run Bitcoin Core, and associated services. You will want to pay attention to your CPU usage and be conservative as you install services. You’ll run out of system resources pretty fast, running more a hand full. I use mine for SearXNG, NC, Vaultwarded, and Nostr, with Nostrudel. It works great.

Depending on your purpose, NextCloud or File Browser, would be the way to send data to your StartOS server.
