StartOS web hosting

it may not be ‘sovereign’ computing but do you (or anybody) provide StartOS as a web hosted service such as Hostinger, HostGator, A2Hosting, Bluehost…?

Or is it possible to migrate/import StartOS or some of StartOS services to traditional web host providers?

Yes, not the most sovereign approach, but it is doable. I’m not aware of anyone who offers it OOTB.

You would look not for a web hosting service (host my web site), but a VPS (virtual private server) that allows you to load a custom OS. Then you would be running StartOS on the VPS with whatever services you install on it.

I haven’t done this myself, but if you go this way, please post your experience in our DIY section…

Just to add to what Jesse said. Keep in mind that until the upcoming servion 0.3.6, remote access to StartOS is only available via Tor. Which can be slow, and sometimes unreliable. One of the nice things about having your StartOS server on your LAN, is fast and reliable access to the services.
