I tried to switch to Bitcoin Knots pre RDTS after the chain split but I’m getting the errors below. Does anybody know how to clear this error and reorg to the pre-RDTS chain? I thought switching and restarting would do it automatically but I’ve tried three restarts.
I checked my local mempool and it looks like the blocks are now updated and I’m back on the pre-RDTS chain. It just took some time and/or restarts.
HOW did you do this? Did you install an older version of Knots? Did you change the ‘Consensus Rules’ from ‘rdts’ to something else? If so, what? I can’t figure out how to turn BIP-110 off at all.
That doesn’t look a thing like my marketplace. I think you’re on the new version of StartOS?
I did find the older version (29.3.0) on my marketplace finally (by going to the current Knots version and clicking on the Additional Info | Previous Versions thingy towards the bottom), and clicked “downgrade.” Then I went into the settings and clicked “re-index.” It said if I’m running a pruned node (I’m not) it’d take a long time (weeks, potentially) to re-sync. Figured since I’m not running a pruned node and I’m only missing like 5-6 blocks, it’d take just a few seconds to sync. It’s stuck at “Progress: 0.00%” for about 20 minutes now…
So what do I do now?
Yes I’m running the new StartOS. Regardless you should find Bitcoin Knots pre-RDTS in your marketplace. I think it’s re-indexing the entire blockchain so that might take a while. Maybe not like an IBD but it could still take some time.
