Tor Compression Bombs.. anyone?

Tor does tend to fail for me at least once a week but I am able to bring it back online with full wipe with all services stopped.

However I just noticed compression Bombs in the logs - those Exit Nodes are now firewall blocked; wasn’t actually impacting Knots running or other services - but might be worth checking to see in your tor logs if all is hunky dory as its basically a DDoS attack.

Thoughts?

Generally, these warnings are not a cause for alarm. Tor is designed to handle such threats effectively. Are you finding that blocking them causes your Tor connection to be more reliable?

Yes, Its become a daily activity to restart Tor - its become so flakey - the only way I can see Tor is dead is cause LND is showing its unable to sync - There is no other indication anywhere so I can’t tell what my actual uptime is these days.
