Wasabi keeps saying failed to connect to bitcoin rpc. Blockstream always fails to connect to oracle. I havent changed anything and ive never seen this before. It seems just random. Why would most of my wallets work and connect to my fulcrum and electrs but not wasabi and blockstream? very strange and so far i cant figure it out even after uninstalling tor, downgrading. reupgrading, rebuilding, etc
been on 0.4.0 for awhile and am fully updated
There are no details here to being to guess what to look at. Or maybe there are things I can infer.
You mention Bitcoin RPC and Tor. So you installed v040 and set up everything with TOR? And explicitly decided to connect with Bitcoin rather than Electrs or Fulcrum?
But then you say “wallets work and connect to my fulcrum and electrs”, so why mention Bitcoin RPC? I’m not following.
If you want to jump straight to an answer, set up the connect again (and do it with one of your two electrum servers).
When you add node in wasabi, it says bitcoin rpc i believe. But ive always used electrs for that. I was just stating the error wording that is says. I use electrs and fulcrum for bitcoin wallets. I use the same url for my wallets and for whatever reason i started randomly having trouble with wasabi and blockstream lately even though i havent changed anything.
It will then say failed to connect to my node after 3 tries on wasabi and never works
So you installed Wasabi on your computer, you try to point it at your server, but it only gives you options to connect to Bitcoin? Even if that’s true, that’s OK, simply enter the correct Bitcoin details.
“same url for my wallets” isn’t how it works – you should be following Wasabi’s guides where they’d (I hope) tell you what to do. If you’re copying and pasting Electrs connection details into Bitcoin fields, that would explain “bitcoin RPC” errors.

you didn’t confirm if you were using Tor or not, but this sounds like Tor. Perhaps avoid Tor? If your server is local, you can use one of the local interfaces displayed under Electrs or Fulcrum. If you need access to your node on a laptop you take our of your home, consider setting up clearnet so you don’t have to deal with Tor: Clearnet - StartOS
Yes im using tor. Regardless, im having an issue with blockstream as well which ive had installed for awhile and have used my custom fulcrum server. Blockstream instructions are very simple; add custom node and enable TOR. Its always worked and i never changed anything. I agree its probably time to try and setup clearnet
If you’re on your local network, simple use the local IP and ports to test with. If it works, then the problem was tor.
