Tor stuck bootstrapping at 5%

My StartOS Tor is stuck bootstrapping at 5%. I’m running a Server One with Bitcoin Knots, Electrs, and Mempool. Everything worked great for several months. A few weeks ago I switched from Bitcoin Core to Knots and it worked fine for a few days and then my Sparrow wallet on MacOS stopped connecting to my server. I tried going back to Core to see if that was the issue but it hasn’t fixed it.

My OS logs and Tor logs are running loops getting stuck with “Tor stuck bootstrapping at 5%”

Any ideas of how to fix this? Sorry if this has been addressed before in the community, but I couldn’t find any topics that matched my situation.

You can attempt to reset the server’s Tor connection by going to:

System->Manage->Experimental Features->Reset Tor

Try to do this without selecting “Wipe State” first.

You can then check in the Tor logs if the connection is bootstrapping all the way up to 100% and remaining stable.

Sometimes Tor requires patience. A couple different tries resetting and if all else fails give it some more time and try again.
