Hello helpful forum folks,
Ive been running startos on an rpi4 for the past two years. I just picked up a FriendlyElec CM3588 which has 256gb eMMC, an SD card slot, and can support 4 nvme drives. I want to transfer my server over to it and run it on proxmox alongside OpenWRT. This is my first foray into proxmox…
I managed to install proxmox to the eMMC, and was successfully able to get a new installation of StartOS running on it as a test. I was also able to install startOS on the NVME pool. However, I’m having trouble figuring out how to install startOS on eMMC but use the nvme pool for the data storage drive. The only option for the data storage drive that shows up during StartOS configuration is whichever disk storage I selected for the OS install. Can someone help me to know if this is possible? If so, is it advisable over having both OS and data storage on nvme pool?
Secondly - my existing RPI server is entirely contained on a microSD card. Is there a way to leverage the available microsd slot on the CM3588 to facilitate the transfer of data from my existing server to the new proxmox instance? If not, can someone help me to know how to best do the transfer?
Thanks in advance for any help!
