It’s difficult to know what’s up with your router or your network. We have a small list of common issues here: Start9 | Common Issues
… but I’m not sure absolutely everything there would be relevant. Obviously if your router is not working, as you describe above, I’d log into your router and try to work it out there.
One thing jumps out at me, an attempt to use WiFi… you should probably be using wired ethernet.
