I have restart the server a couple of times. Same thing for the Nextcloud service.
Strange thing is that the Nextcloud service page shows no issues with health checks.
Launching the UI in the browser (firefox) however shows the error: Please use the command line updater because updating via browser is disabled in your config.php.

How do you want me to start Nextcloud? If we should go the cli route i would appreciate some instructions please.
Nextcloud status is “Running”. You can now run the commands.
Actually, my appologies, I left out “sudo”.
Check out the commands again, they should work now.

Glad this worked! Randomly there have been a couple of these recently. I can now let them know.
I’ve run into a similar issue with Nextcloud, but when attempting to execute
sudo podman exec -it nextcloud.embassy bash
I am asked for a password.
I’m not having luck with using the startOS master password.
Any guidance on what steps to take next? thanks in advance!
This is an old thread, Podman no longer exists on anything but out of date instances of StartOS. I’m not what your next steps should be because you said your situation was merely “similar”. sudo podman should not trigger a password attempt, so that part also makes little sense. You should already be logged in via an SSH key.
