Was already on 0.4.0 Saw an update available, now Start OS wont boot

Was already on 0.4.0 Saw an update available, So I proceeded to update. After update StartOS hanged after a while so I forced a reboot (I have a feeling this is where i messed up)

I had Kiosk mode enabled so i was able to hookup a monitor and keyboard to it. This is what I see now. After pressing enter I get the same message again..

Thankfully I have a 0.4.0 backup. What are the recommended next steps?

Update: I inserted the 0.4.0 Update USB I had from the previous 0.4.0 update, & did a forced reboot with the USB inserted. Followed the update steps on screen, and now I am able to boot into StartOS 0.4.0. All my data seems to be intact.

Now when I go to system settings I see 0.4.0.1 Update available.

Should I try to update to 0.4.0.1 again? Is this update necessary or is it safe to wait for a future version?

I’d SSH into this device and see if anything in the logs might indicate what happened:

journalctl --list-boots
sudo journalctl -b -1 -p err --no-pager | tail -50
