Welcome to the Start9 Community!

You’re probably too many versions behind to update directly to the latest version. If you needed to preserve the state of your server, you would need to make several update hops to get to the latest version. Since this is a new setup, it’s probably a lot easier to just flash the server to the latest version manually. Here’s the flashing guide. I believe your 2023 Embassy would be a Raspberry Pi model:

If you have any trouble, or just need a little hand holding, come see us in our live support channels. Your server has a redemption code on it.

Thank you so much. I suspected I might need to do this, but fled intimidated by the instructions on how to flash the server, download Balena Etcher etc (in the past, downloading stuff incorrectly is where I tend to tie myself in knots). I will join the live support for some hand holding - but it won’t be for a week as with my usual impeccable timing I’m about to leave the LAN where I’ve plugged into. Thank you again Rexter, speak in a week. Nell

Hello fellow sovereign enthusiasts! I’ve been lurking in the space learning slowly and developing my gameplan for the push away from big brother for some time now, excited to finally be making moves.

Does anyone know when the Start9 Pure will be in stock again?

Hello Start9 community, just set up my new Server One. I am 49 y.o., not too much into computers, just a bit into crypto. After 2 hours of reading the instructions twice and sweating above my laptop and my modem, the victory is mine :flexed_biceps: .

I can’t wait to install and run a node in the next couple of days !

I’ve just done it. Thanks for the reminder.

I’m thinking of dumping my Start 9. I can’t log in. I’m using the latest iMac and Chrome. I get the same message ‘can’t find the server’. The thing is still merrily whirling away and I can still use Sparrow. I’ve looked all the help suggestions and they could be in Chinese as far as I’m concerned. Run a node they said. Really easy. Not easy if you can’t log in. Start9 fine if you’re a computer nerd.

If your iMac has an issue accessing devices on your network, then you need to look there. Your iMac says it ‘can’t find the server’. Just as if you “can’t find the car”, the car has not done anything wrong.

Start9 customers have lifetime customer support here: start9.me - takes but 30 seconds to have a nerd tell you what to do.

Well that was very helpful… not. I’ve used a Mac Mini as well. I’ve used Bravo and Firefox. Still the same response. It worked fine for a while. No problem then it refuses to login. It’s working away. I switched it off and back on. Still the same response.

Feel free to reach out to support for help.

Yes. Thank you . All talk no help.
