Hello, Im currently trying to switch from Bitcoin Core to Knots on my start 9. According to the instructions found on the Start9 Twitter page the first step which is to Click the manage heading 5+ times in the StartOS system tab was successful however the next step which says to Click Re-Install Knots in the community Registry isnt giving me the option to Re-install Knots, instead Im only getting the option to update Knots, when I click the update button I get a notification that Bitcoin Core Install failed. Can anyone help me to figure out what Im doing wrong or what i should do next?
I also Forgot to mention that I never Installed Knots on my Start9 and only Installed Core, this is the first time Im trying based on the Start9 instructions, the error message Im receiving is that Upgrading from Core to Knots is prohibited at mod4.migration.from mapping.28.1.0.1
I found this, as I was curious as well. Will be trying it out later.
Confirming I was able to change from Bitcoin Core to Knots. On my node I was on Bitcoin Core version 28.1.0. Needed to update Bitcoin Core first.
After update, the option to reinstall Bitcoin Knots became available. Config and done!
Thank You, i had a feeling that i had to update Core First before doing this, ill try it right now and report the results.
It worked!! Thanks for the help
Nice! You’re welcome!
I had the same issue and updating to latest version of Bitcoin Core made the “Re-install” button appear.
I’m now running Knot
