My server pure was working great then all of sudden I can not keep it up and running. It turns off after anywhere after 5 minutes to 3 hours. It is not in an enclosed space and has plenty of air. I does feel warm to the touch however. When it starts up, Bitcoin comes right back uo but Electrum often get stuck and cannot finish indexing. I restarted Electrum and on one occasion and it was able to complete and become operational. This keeps happening and I am on my 10th iteration of starting up the server.
Please confirm when you ordered your Server Pure and the amps rating listed on your power supply brick.
This will allow us to narrow down what the issue could be.
Rated 19V -2.1 A Max
Order Number X558759
My server was delivered on July 9, 2024
I have noticed that only one light comes on the right side, the hole to the left never comes on.
The server went down again. It just cannot stay up.
It may be an issue with the power supply. Can you send a picture of the power supply showing the Volts / Amps Max?
I will have someone verify this and determine next steps.
Is that the bottom of the pure device or the power supply? We are looking for a picture of the power supply itself
That is the bottom - do you want me to open up the server? If so is there a schematic I can use to open it
No need to open the server. I thought these units shipped with an external power supply. plug one end into the wall, a brick in the middle and the other end into the server.
perfect. That’s the picture I needed.
When it is running can you tell me what the temperature is?
System → Insights ->Monitor → General → Temperature
Also, is the system under heavy load? How many / what services are you running? What are they doing?
Are you still in midst of initial blockchain download? or has that completed already?
I do not have a keyboard - have two Macbook Airs and a Microsoft Surface here. Also I moved the server to have the rear facing the side instead of the wall. Also have placed a fan directly on the server. It is pegged at 47-49 C and has one seconds spikes as high as 59 C then back down to 49, 48 and now 47C
Reviewing w/ senior techs, this may be a bad power adaptor. Looking into next steps, seeing if we can ship you a new power supply.
Thanks…,. Should i power it off and wait for the Power supply? Are we doing damage to the server running it hot? Also I had my server shipped to me in San Francisco but I live in Vietnam so it would need to be shipped to a different address.
Your server isn’t running that hot. I wouldn’t worry about that. Would you need the power supply shipped to Vietnam? or some other address.
Can I send you my address via email as this is a public chat. Yes I cannot receive it in San Francisco now.
Absolutely. Please email ops@start9.com with your preferred address and they can assist with next steps…
It has been 5 days since Jesse told me to send an email to ops@start9.com. Nobody is responding to my request to have a new power cable sent to me in Vietnam. Any help would be appreciated. I was able to have it run for almost 3 days having the power cable in a certain position. Last night it stopped again and the cable had not been touched.
