Running Hyper-V for StartOS 9 on v0.4.0-beta.9.
StartOS is saying (the GUI interface) you can upgrade to 0.4.0 (the NON beta version now). The issue is it fails when I try. I have 2 Hyper-V’s on 2 different servers and they both fail with the same error below. I had no trouble upgrading from beta x to beta x but now going from beta to non beta is failing.

Strange, it seems to be speaking towards a missing reference to rootfs, a similar error message to what i’m getting here when I try to update from 0.4.0 to 0.4.1; perhaps the errors are related? Keeping my eye on the conversation here
This post fixed it, do this using SSH.
Go into GUI and download and update/restart.
Then using SSH and a sudo -i reboot it.
