Hi Everyone - (borrowing @Some.dude 's excellent template)

I have StartOS v0.3.5.1 running on a 2010 MacMini as a baremetal install

Hardware:

  • Burn After Reading 0.1.6
  • LND 0.18.5
  • Sparrow 2.1.1

Remote Clients

Windows and Android (GrapheneOS and Stock) clients connecting to services above via Tor and Brave Browsers

Other Details

  • Upgraded Hardware - OS running on 2TB Crucial SATA SSD in place of original Optical Drive, 2TB HDD internal as spare, Memory upgrade to max supported 16GB
  • System Uptime at point of writing ~ 6 Days, 18 Hours
  • Connected to Ethernet and Broadcom internal Wifi card - no networking issues observed so far (aware of issues reported for the 2012 version of MacMini but have not had issues so far)

Other users have reported success, but then later had issues on the A1347.

My issues MAY have actually related to a failing SSD. Had similar issues when I migrated to a new system & replacing the SSD solved them.

I have a Macbook Pro A1706 - tried to install, but had to use a usb-c rj45 ethernet dongle to get to the startup disk selection… now I’m further and can select to install on my disk…but got the same RPC ERROR: Disk Managment:

Just letting you all know there is demand for some sort of hack here.
